Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration, 2022
Executive Producer and Co-Creative Director/Writer of this poignant and historic star-studded event broadcast live to over 5 million people on ITV.
Dubai Parks and Resorts Grand Opening Ceremony, 2016
Executive Producer of the largest theme park opening in the Middle East, broadcast live and attended by Dubai’s ruler – Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The show necessitated building an entire theatre on a lake, it featured a cast of hundreds, giant animatronics and the Middle East’s first ever drone show.
Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale, 2021
Executive Producer and Director of Saudi Arabia’s first ever contemporary art biennale, and redevelopment of a disused industrial area to house it – home to a 3-month event and exhibition hosting over 60 artists and hundreds of artworks and performances. Please note, given the scale of the project, the video below is a number of separate videos running consecutively.
Islamic Arts Biennale, Jeddah, 2023
Executive Producer, Director, and Curatorial and Content Director of the world’s first Islamic Arts exhibition or biennale juxtaposing contemporary art and priceless historical artefacts. Saudi Arabia’s largest ever cultural event – biblical in scale, 250 artefacts and 40 commissions along with performances spanned 120,000 square meters of curated exhibition spaces and venues we also had to design and build.
2014 Wales Summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
Event Director of the largest gathering of world leaders in the UK – the NATO summit in Newport, Wales in 2014, hosting some 2,500 press, international entourages in the thousands, one of the country’s largest ever security operations and the obligatory flypast.
ADIPEC Opening Ceremony, Abu Dhabi, 2019
Executive Producer of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference Opening Ceremony in 2019 with the largest automated, moving, LED screens seen in the UAE with mapped live content and live performances – hosting the country’s leadership and diplomats such as Condoleezza Rice.
Abu Dhabi New Year’s Eve Fireworks, 2020
Executive Producer and Designer of Al Maryah Island’s new year’s eve fireworks and concert seeing out 2019 into 2020.
Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championships, 2009
Event Director and Designer of the London’s first elite triathlon through central London against a backdrop of considerable opposition, later becoming an Olympic test event and then the venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic triathlons.
Fiat 500 Launch Concert, London Eye, 2008
Executive Producer and Creative Director of the Fiat 500 launch. A car in a capsule. A concert with Mika and The Feeling. Radio studios in various capsules on the London Eye too.
Le Grand Départ, Tour de France, 2007
Event Director with overall responsibility for the development and delivery of the Tour de France’s visit to the UK in 2007, with an Opening Ceremony, and racing in central London and down to the Kent coastline. The largest single event the UK had ever staged and leading 20,000 people, this required development of new technologies, thinking and practices that were recognised in the House of Commons and became a benchmark for future major event delivery.
Trafalgar 200, 2005
Executive Producer of the Battle of Trafalgar Bicentennial celebrations in central London, a 45-minute piece of theatre produced and delivered on an astonishingly low budget with the support of an incredible show director, and volunteers from across the military and various community groups.
